Personal Bio
Mikki Schwartz has been a teacher at St. Regis for 17 years.
She has taught 4th, 5th, and 4/5 multi-age
classrooms. Mikki previously taught
kindergarten in Cape Girardeau, MO and Milpitas, CA.
She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a B.S. in
Elementary Education. She earned her
M. A. T. at Webster University in Kansas City.
She has been a member of the parish since 1983 when she and her family
moved to Kansas City. Mikki has been
married to Kirk Schwartz for 27 years.
She has two children – a daughter, Danielle, who was recently married to
Danny Motta, and a son, Dominic.
Mikki loves to read, swim, go on walks, and watch movies.
Mikki comes from a family of teachers.
Her parents were both teachers and several of her siblings are in the
teaching profession. Mikki considers
teaching an exciting profession full of opportunities for personal and
professional growth. Mikki wants to
pass on the love of learning to her students and to help them “learn how to
learn.”
