St Regis Early Childhood Center opened in 1987 in the convent building at the back of the parking lot of St Regis Church. The center began enrolling children birth through five years of age. The center has been licensed by the state of Missouri since 1995. In 1998 the center achieved Missouri accreditation. The following year , 1999, St Regis ECC was the first center in the diocese to achieve NAEYC ( national) accreditation. The center was founded using the philosophy that all children should be able to enjoy a safe and stimulating environment where they can grow and develop into life long learners with a love of learning. We use developmentally appropriate instruction which respects the individual child’s learning style.
